WHAT DO WE DO?
Accredited exercise physiologists specialise in clinical exercise interventions for people with a broad range of health issues. Those people may be at risk of developing, or have existing, medical conditions and injuries. The aims of exercise physiology interventions are to prevent or manage acute, sub- acute or chronic disease or injury, and assist in restoring one’s optimal physical function, health or wellness. These interventions are evidence-based and include health and physical activity education, advice and support and lifestyle modification with a strong focus on achieving behavioural change.
REHABILITATION
Whether you are trying to return to work, sport, are preparing or recovering from surgery, or just want to feel like yourself again, we offer individualised home and gym-based plans to assist you with these goals.
We specialise in rehab for:
Chronic pain, including lower back pain
Hip & shoulder instability/pain
Pre & post-op hip & knee replacements
Restricted mobility
Chronic injuries
Pregnancy & post natal
Cardiac patients
WorkSafe & TAC
Where a GP has written a referral letter to us requesting Exercise Physiology services for your rehabilitation, those with a recent or existing claim are likely to be funded by Workcover or the TAC for between 5-10 sessions. Once we receive your letter, we will be able to send the appropriate paperwork to Workcover/TAC to approve services.
NDIS
Are you a support co-coordinator, plan manager of an NDIS Participant? Did you know that Exercise Physiology funding falls under Capacity Building: Improved Health & Wellbeing and Improved Daily Living?
Our accredited exercise physiologists utilise expertly prescribed exercise to assist manage a number of conditions including:
Progressive Neurological Conditions – Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, Motor Neurone Disease
Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome
Stroke, Acquired Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury
Autism Spectrum Disorder, Aspergers Syndrome, Developmental Delay

CHRONIC DISEASE MANAGEMENT
Whether you have high cholesterol, have just been told your blood sugar levels are too high or have had long-standing lower back pain: we can see you!
Accredited Exercise Physiologists can see you under a Chronic Disease Management Plan (often called a 'care plan' or 'EPC') which is organised by your GP and practice nurse. For these referrals, we aim to use exercise to help prevent and/or manage a range of chronic health conditions, including:
Diabetes (Types 1 and 2)
High cholesterol
Lower back pain
Osteoporosis
Women’s health
Cancer / oncology treatment
Mental health
DO I NEED A DOCTOR’S REFERRAL?
No you don't. You're welcome to come in any time to get the help you need. We accept private health insurance or private paying clientele, as well as those with a doctors or specialist referral.

We are located within Peninsula Sports Medicine's Langwarrin, Rosebud & Somerville locations. We also work to support the community all throughout the Mornington Peninsula and surrounding suburbs in Frankston and Casey municipalities via mobile services including community gym and home visits.
